Yarkon Park

Yarkon Park (Hebrew: Park HaYarkon, also known as Ganei Yehoshua)  is a large public park in north Tel Aviv with wide variety of family activities. the park includes green lawns, Playgrounds, bicycle and running trails, sports facilities, tropical garden and rock garden, birds park, water park, two outdoor concert venues and artificial lakes. HaYarkon  it’s the place where Tel Avivians go to stretch out on the grass for a picnic or a nap in the shade.

The Yarkon River runs through the park and reaches the Mediterranean Sea at the park’s western edge near Tel Aviv Port.

In the North side of the river you will find many different sports: soccer, basketball, tennis, football, baseball, skateboard ramps and climbing wall and boat rental. the main sport area in the the park (near the climbing wall) called Sportek.

      Those who likes to play soccer or basketball, you should get to the Sportek evenings during the week or on weekends – people who do not know each other are divided into groups and play (sometimes even into the night).
